Bundle Up This Weekend and Brace For Cooler Temperatures at Disney World

The cold may not bother Queen Elsa but those of you heading to Walt Disney World today MAY want to bundle up! We started to see some cooler-than-usual temperatures for Central Florida yesterday (Friday, January 13th) which did put a damper on EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts opening. Today, according to forecasters, the sun will be out but temperatures are expected to remain in the 50s throughout the day.

For those heading to the theme parks today you’ll want to layer your clothing! Temperatures in Orlando are only expected to reach a high of 53 degrees with tonight’s low coming in at 34 degrees.

According to FOX35 the cold front is due to a north wind that could also bring gusts of 25 – 30 mph today. Temperatures are expected to average in the upper 30s to upper 40s across the area. A Freeze Watch will also be in effect for counties north of Orlando this evening with freezing temperatures.

Guests at Walt Disney World today will want to be prepared for gusty winds throughout the day.

By tomorrow (Sunday, January 15, 2023) temperatures are expected to rise back into the 50s and 60s.

As you can see from the extended forecast above, the weather will be back to normal by mid-week with high temperatures expected to be in the upper 60s and 70s by Tuesday. This is good news for those staying at Disney into next week as you may get some Florida sunshine yet!
