Pastoral Palate Returns to Festival of the Arts
MickeyBloggers have been hard at work at the launch of the Epcot International Festival of the Arts this morning!
As festival food booths are opening up we’re bringing you real-world photos and reviews of all this awesome event has to offer!
Back in Germany, Greg and Elyssa stopped by the Pastoral Palate, which promises “hearty dishes inspired by timeless Bavarian Folk Art”.
The menu item of choice for this morning’s sampling – Black Forest Cake for $4.75 + tax.
The cake is really a chocolate mousse with Morello cherries and chantilly cream. Plus a chocolate leaf on top for good measure. Sounds decadent, no?!
Our review…typical chocolate cake with whipped cream taste, nothing overly extravagant. The strongest flavor here is the cherry topping!
Greg and Elyssa did not purchase the other menu items at Pastoral Palate (because it’s a big festival to cover, folks), but that doesn’t mean you can’t!
Meat lovers may want to try the Red Wine-braised Beef Short Rib, served with parsnip puree, broccolini, baby tomatoes and aged balsamic for $8.50 + tax. Or perhaps you’d prefer the Wild Boar Cassoulet with duck confit, ham hock and wild boar sausage for $9.25 + tax. Either sound like a savory festival snack.
If you’re drinking around the Festival today, there are several adult beverages available at Pastoral Palate. Most intriguing to this gal? A Play on Rose’ Flight! Sounds refreshing to me!
The Festival of the Arts kicks off today and sticks around until February 20. If you’re in the World, you don’t want to miss it!
