ICYMI : Earl of Sandwich Is Returning to Downtown Disney
We’ve got some exciting news! Our favorite sandwich shop is returning to Downtown Disney! Disney announced yesterday that Earl of Sandwich, the makers of incredibly delicious, handcrafted sandwiches will be returning to Downtown Disney next month! We’ve also got some other exciting Downtown Disney announcements so let’s dive in!
Earl of Sandwich Returns
Starting in February, Downtown Disney visitors will once again be able to enjoy one of the amazing artisanal sandwiches from Earl of Sandwich along with other grab-and-go options. There will also be table service options at the Earl of Sandwich Tavern. Both of these options will be available at the new Earl of Sandwich location at the former site of the La Brea Bakery.
Coming Soon- Porto’s Bakery
As Disney previously shared during this year’s D23 Expo, Porto’s Bakery will also be bringing their famous Cheese Rolls, California-Cuban cuisine and more to the district! A new Porto’s location will be going into the Esplanade near the former La Brea Bakery location.
This is a story that we’re following closely so keep checking back with us for further updates!
Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen
There’s also some exciting changes happening over at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen. Soon guests will be able to enjoy an expanded dining area including outdoor, patios, veranda and dining rooms. This includes a brand new second floor space at the Downtown Disney lcoation.
Jazz Kitchen’s “all-day” menu features Southern-inspired cuisine like Pasta Jambalaya and Gumbo Ya-Ya. Coming Soon will also be a few new additions to the menu that use coastal-inspired ingredients like a new open-faced Grilled Lobster BLT Po’Boy! Signature hand-crafted beignets will also continue to be a mainstay and the line will even be expanded to include beignets that are dipped, drizzled and sprinkled with new and seasonal flavors combinations.
Ralph Brennan’s will be closed for a short period of time as the first floor dining room is being remodeled. Watch this space for news on a grand reopening including Ralph Brennan’s new look and menu!
Disney Home and WonderGround Gallery Temporarily Closed
With all of the exciting changes happening at Downtown Disney, Disney Home and the WonderGround Gallery are both temporarily closed due to some interior construction happening behind-the-scenes. In the meantime, guests are encouraged to head over to World of Disney to pick up housewares. There’s also a temporary pop-up WonderGround Gallery location near Star Wars Trading Post where you’ll find fantastic artwork and prints.
