Major Traffic Jams Heading into Disney Today!
Good Morning MickeyBlog friends and Disney fans! Are you heading into Walt Disney World this morning? Plan on delays and pack that patience with you. We are experiencing major traffic jams heading into Disney!
It is a beautiful central Florida day, but many guests are experiencing some early morning frustrations as they are driving into Walt Disney World.
Our MickeyBlog reporter, Jared, is up early and attempting to get to the Disney theme parks this morning. However, I-4 is experiencing major traffic and delays.
According to Google Maps, the typical, quick 20-minute drive is now at 1 hour and traffic is at a standstill.
What is causing the traffic and delays?
I-4 Westbound Shut Down
According to WFTV Channel 9 news, I-4 Westbound (South of Central Florid Parkway) is shut down and causing major traffic delays due to a multiu- vehicle accident.
The crash appears to involve several vehicles and semi-trucks and is causing back ups heading into the Universal and Disney theme park area.
Road Rangers, Florida Highway Patrol Troopers and Orange County Fire Rescue crews are onsite and working to clear the crash, however the time frame is uncertain at this time.
There are no further details at this time, but MickeyBlog will monitor the situation and provide readers with any further updates.
