Although most fans are well-schooled on optimal times to visit Disney Parks, it’s always interesting to see a year’s breakdown. Here are Disneyland’s most crowded days in 2022.
The Orange County Register recently released an interesting article, giving fans an inside look at the most visited days last year. The metrics come from wait times collected by Thrill Data.

Interestingly, but not surprisingly, all of the busiest periods occurred during school holidays. According to the study, crowd levels reached their highest level 26 times in 2022.
In order to gather the information, Thrill Data takes wait times listed on Disneyland’s app and uses data analytics to track trends. Disneyland typically avoids discussing specifics regarding attendance numbers and crowd levels at the Parks.

Although dates for school breaks vary based on district, they usually relate to national and religious holidays. Let’s take a look at the results, starting with the busiest overall periods at Disneyland during 2022.

Something that may come as a surprise is that most of these dates fell on weekdays, rather than weekends. It looks like optimal times to visit are becoming more scarce when it comes to crowd levels at Disneyland Resort.
As seen above, the busiest period occurred in April. According to Thrill Data, the best times to visit Disneyland are from January 7 to February 14, and from August 8 to September 30.
