Update: Hawkeye Star Jeremy Renner Shares Post-Accident Image on Instagram
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you’ll know that Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner was involved in a snow plowing accident on New Year’s Day and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. For the first time since the incident, the actor took to Instagram this evening to finally share an image from the hospital along with a brief message for fans.

As you can see from the post, Renner thanked fans for their “kind words” before cutting things short saying, “Im too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”
The actor is wearing glasses in the image but you can see that one side of his face is bruised with lesions.
According to reports coming in today, including one from CNN.com, the actor was at his Nevada home using a snowplow to clear driveways when the incident occurred. Renner was reportedly using a snowcat to plow the area and family members were present at the time of the incident. The actor stepped out of the snowcat and was then run over by the machine in what being called a tragic accident.
As of going to print, Renner is still in ICU recovering from two surgeries for blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. .

The incident took place at the actor’s home in Reno, Nevada. The actor’s family released a statement yesterday (Monday, January 2, 2022) that read, “Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families,” a statement from his spokesperson read. “They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”
Renner is best known for his role as Hawkeye in the Disney+ series of the same name as well as Avengers films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is a story that we will continue to follow closely. Jeremy Renner, along with family, friends and colleagues remain in our thoughts.
