See in the New Year with New Millionaire Shortbread!
It’s New Year’s Eve and, here at MickeyBlog, we know how to see in the new year right !
With Disney Treats! Let’s take a look!
That’s right, there may be just hours remaining until that clock strikes midnight, but we’re not ready to call 2022 a pumpkin just yet.
There’s so many festive snacks available around Walt Disney World to commemorate the day, and we’re here to review them all for you. Our next stop? Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts!
After all, what better way could there be to ring in 2023?
Our fabulous MickeyBloggers are over at the enchanting French Quarter right now, where some rather celebratory-looking signage tempted us into Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory.
It looks like an enticing array of 2023 party food has blasted onto the menu for the evening – let’s go check it out!
I sure hope you have expensive tastes, as our order today was this party-ready Millionaire Shortbread Bar.
We’ve tried a fair few NYE treats today – from the fruity New Year Float over at Disney’s Polynesian Resort to the Celebration Charcuterie and Cheese at the All-Stars – but this treat is surely the richest yet!
As far as Millionaire’s Shortbread treats go, this one hits the mark with all the classic elements. You’ve got a shortbread cookie topped with delicious layers of caramel and chocolate ganache, with some sultry toffee pieces and salty pretzel bits mixed in for extra tastiness.
My mouth is already watering – is this what being a millionaire is like, I wonder?
Plus, as you can see from the photos, the chefs really went to town with the decorating of this dessert – with plenty of sprinkles and shimmer to see us into the new year!
It was our MickeyBlogger Jessica who got to test this one out, and she had nothing but good things to say about the decadent dessert!
Jessica shared with us that although the cookie base is quite thin, it gives plenty of room for the gooey deliciousness on top, from the thick caramel to delicious chocolate ganache. The pretzels added a nice spike of saltiness, and the fact that the dessert was served chilled somehow made it taste all the more divine.
However, the glowing review of the shortbread also came with a warning!
Just look at Jessica’s hands after the dessert – it looks like she’ll be covered in the sweet gold shimmer well into the new year!
All in all, we’d definitely recommend this fantastic dessert to see in the new year.
So, if you’re celebrating at or near Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts, make sure you head on over to Sassagoula Floatworks over at French Quarter, and pick up this Millionaire’s treat for $6.29!
We have thoroughly enjoyed reviewing this celebratory treat for you, and can’t wait to see what other delicious goodies we can find in at the Walt Disney World resorts and beyond in 2023!
Happy New Year, millionaires!
