Barbara Walters Passes Away at 93
It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news that Barbara Walters has died at the age of 93.
She was a broadcaster icon that spent many years as a big part of the ABC family, which of course is owned by Disney. Barbara Walters spent her very long career interviewing some of the most famous celebrities, influential politicians and her much anticipated people of the year.
Every little girl who dreamed of a career in broadcasting had the dream of one day becoming Barbara Walters and her legacy will be one of admiration and gratitude.
She will not be forgotten any time soon and will be held among the absolute greats in her field.
We will keep her family in our thoughts and prayers and know that the Disney family will miss her and keep her as a shining star in their memories for many years to come!
Walters joined ABC News in 1976 and became the first evening anchor on a network news program. She had an illustrious career spanning five decades.
