Rock n’ Roller Coaster To Close For Refurbishment February – Summer 2023
We’ve got some sad news for all you adrenaline junkie heading to Walt Disney World in early 2023. Beloved thrill ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be closed starting in February for a lengthy refurbishment.
As you can see from the image above, taken today from disneyworld.com, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will be closed starting on February 20, 2023. It is not expected to re-open until the Summer of 2023.
Disney hasn’t said what the focus of the refurbishment will be. It is not uncommon for attractions to close during the slower months for routine maintenance. If we hear anything more regarding the work being carried out we’ll let you know!
For those unfamiliar, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is one of Disney World’s biggest thrill rides. Starring legendary rock band Aerosmith, you must race with the band across town, in their stretch limo to get to a gig on time! Guests speed into the night to a soundtrack of spectacular Aerosmith hits!
This thrilling indoor coaster features 3 thrilling inversions, 2 rollover loops and one corkscrew!
Each super-stretch limo (ride vehicle) is decked out with a 125-speaker, 24-subwoofer, 32,000- watt audio system. Each vehicle features a different Aerosmith song with options including “Walk This Way,” “Dude (Looks Like a Lady)”, “Sweet Emotion,” and “Back in the Saddle.” Best of all, the classic song “Love in an Elevator” was re-written as “Love in a Roller Coaster” specifically for the attraction.
