CEO Bob Iger Sends ‘A Holiday Message’ Email To Disney Fans
Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger is sending out a “Happy Holidays” email to Disney fans. Our MickeyBlogger Greg received the Iger email this afternoon. Though we aren’t certain what segment of Disney fans are receiving the Holiday Message, we suspect that the email is going out to D23 gold members.
The email features a festive Disney header and Iger starts by paying tribute to the fans. The message reads, “We love your passion for our company and your enthusiasm for what we create and we will continue to do our best to exceed your highest expectations.”
The message then shifts focus to Disney’s 100th Anniversary celebration which will be kicking off in 2023 and is sure to be a focal point of company news in the year ahead.
Bob Iger concludes the email by acknowledging his return, “It is an extraordinary privilege to lead this remarkable company again, and I am so grateful for your continued passion for Disney.”
For those unfamiliar, Bob Iger retired as CEO of The Walt Disney Company in early 2020. Bob Chapek then spent two years as head of the company but proved unpopular with cast members, fans and investors. In a surprise announcement last month, Iger was coaxed out of retirement to replace Chapek who was promptly let go.
In his short time back as the head of Disney, Iger has maintained a higher level of visibility than Chapek. Recently he was photographed mingling with cast members during a Disney lot Christmas Party. The email is another nice touch showing a CEO that is a little more in sync with Disney enthusiasts.
