A new spinoff series, 1923, debuted a few days ago on Paramount. The American Western drama acts as a prequel to Yellowstone and a sequel to 1883.

Two seasons have been planned for the show, each containing 8 episodes. The story follows Jacob and Cara Dutton, played by Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.
After taking over the Dutton family’s land, the duo struggles to raise a ranching empire in the 1920s. In a recent article by The Playlist, Harrison Ford shares why he thinks the Yellowstone franchise is so popular among fans.

He describes, “To me, the quality of the work that they’ve been doing there is evident. So, my ambition to be part of that doesn’t seem to be, to me, too much of a stretch.”
He went on to say, “We assume there’s this big difference between television and films. It’s really just the destination for it [that’s different]. There are great opportunities to tell complicated and ambitious stories on television, but it’s just where you show it.”

Ford has starred in numerous blockbusters over the years. The actor is revered for his versatility.
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Although well-known for action films such as Indiana Jones and Star Wars, he’s participated in his fair share of dramas and comedies as well. Perhaps this explains why the actor has recently climbed onboard the MCU bandwagon.

As MickeyBlog previously reported, Ford will be taking over the late William Hurt’s role at General “Thunderbolt” Ross. In a recent podcast, Ford gave fans insight into his decision.
He shares, “Hey, look, I’ve done a lot of things. I now want to do some of the things I haven’t done.”

His “Thunderbolt” character eventually becomes the Red Hulk, so perhaps motion capture is what he’s referencing here. When asked further about it, Ford simply replied with a zipping his lips motion!
It’s interesting to hear Harrison Ford’s thoughts on why he decided to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans certainly have a lot to look forward to in the coming years!
