Idina Menzel Shares a Bit of Frozen Magic During Recent Book Signing
Frozen fans got a recent surprise from Idina Menzel (who voiced the role of Elsa in the film) when she held a recent book signing with her sister. The Broadway star and her sibling collaborated on a childrens book called Loud Mouse. It was during a signing that Menzel burst into the iconic song Let it Go to the utter delight of those in the audience.
According to a recent piece in PEOPLE, Idina was inspired to burst into song when she saw two little girls in the audience during the book signing that were dressed up as Elsa. We’ll share a link to the video below where Idina can be seen encouraging the young fans to join in!

The Disenchanted star created her first book Loud Mouse which was released last fall and was a project with her sister Cara Mentzel. Idina said that she wanted to create a book that would empower young readers not be afraid of what other people think.
“That’s something that I’ve dealt with ever since I was a little girl: wanting to step into my light, my spotlight to shine, to embrace this voice that I had, but also not wanting to alienate the people around me,” said Menzel. She went on to explain that she didn’t want to “seem like I was too much for anyone, that I was showing off, to bring attention to myself.” But, that changed as she grew up and gained more knowledge.
“As I’ve grown older, I realize that we’re doing a disservice to the world when we hide our talents and our gifts,” Menzel said. “And when I finally understood that is when I finally found joy in what I was doing and acceptance. So, that was when I called Cara one night and said, ‘Now go write a book about that.'”

The blurb for the story is as follows:
Dee loves to sing. She sings during her morning yoga. She even sings while practicing her math facts. She usually sings to herself. But when her teacher asks everyone to share something with the class, Dee knows just what to bring: a song. And as Dee sings la, la, la, la,LOUDly in front of her class for the first time, something extraordinary happens. . . .
