Beloved Winnie the Pooh Prequel in Development for Big Screen and Television!
Fans of classic children’s characters and books are about to get another nostalgic reboot. Beloved Winnie the Pooh prequel is in development!
Following the success of Paddington Bear and Peter Rabbit on both the big and small screen, a group of DreamWorks alumni are seeking to bring back the lovable bear to a new audience.

An Upcoming Prequel
A prequel to this children’s book by A.A. Milne is currently in development for the big screen and a TV series.
Directed by Mike de Seve (Madagascar, Monsters vs. Aliens) and co-written with John Reynolds (The Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show), the story tells the origin and history of Pooh that will connect with a new 21st century audience.

Fellow DreamWorks alum and present CIO at Winvest, Charlene Kelly, and Khiow Hui Lim, the founder of IQI and CSO of Winvest, will executive-produce.
“I think this unsinkable young cub is totally relatable for today’s kids, with his hell-bent craving for honey and his ludicrous schemes to get it,” said de Seve shared. “The whole gang is hilarious, and are even more hilarious as kids, we’re finding out.”

DreamWorks alum Kelly added, “A.A. Milne’s bear has aged gracefully in the last hundred years. But what happened, back when, that made him and his pals who they are in the book?
A heck of a big adventure, that’s what – one that needs a big screen. Audiences will be transported to somewhere they never expected.”

This classic story about a fun loving bear was written in 1926 by English author A.A. Milne. The collection of sweet stories has been translated into multiple languages and adapted by Disney into a television series, full length movies, and theatrical featurettes.
