CAA Co-Chairman Bryan Lourd Calls Bob Iger ‘Greatest of All Time’
It has been nearly a month the shocking announcement that Bob Iger would be returning to his role as CEO of the Walt Disney Company. Despite this, reactions to Iger’s return are still pouring in from all over Hollywood.
Bryan Lourd, the Creative Artists Agency’s managing director and co-chaiman, is the latest Hollywood power broker to chime in on stunning Disney news.

“He’s the greatest of all time,” Lourd said. “It’s good for the Walt Disney Co. He’s got challenges that didn’t exist prior to his leaving… I think they did the only thing they could really do.”
While Lourd’s effusive praise was expected, more surprising was the kind words he head for former CEO Bob Chapek.

“I liked Bob Chapek, which might surprise some people,” Lourd said. “I think he’s a good, decent man.”
For those who don’t remember, Lourd and Chapek got into a public fight over CAA client Scarlett Johannson and her film “Black Widow”

When Disney decided to release the film exclusively on Disney + due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Lourd filled suit on Johannson’s behalf. The move to streaming cost Johannson millions of dollars in bonuses.
While it remains to be seen how history will judge Bob Iger’s second act at Disney, what is clear is that hopes remain high around Hollywood.
