Disney+ Creates National Treasure: Edge of History Escape Room in LA for One Weekend Only
Disney did a pretty cool promotion over the weekend to raise awareness from upcoming series National Treasure: Edge of History which makes its streaming debut on December 14th. This weekend, at the Westfield Century Mall in Santa Monica, California and in collaboration with PEOPLE, the network unveiled a FREE escape room inspired by the show.
The escape room was modeled after the series and offered a 20-minute experience featuring puzzles, coded locks, hidden maps and even artifacts as you search for an important ancient relic.
To celebrate the series premiere, Disney even invited the stars of the show including Lisette Olivera, Lyndon Smith, Jordan Rodrigues, Jake Austin Walker and Antonio Cipriano visited the escape room to put their problem-solving skills to the test. In this escape room it was all about finding hidden tablets by completing a series of puzzles!
National Treasure: Edge of History was filmed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In addition to the awesome cast members we mentioned above, the series also features Zuri Reed, Breeda Wool and Dustin Ingram — as well as Catherine Zeta-Jones. Original stars Harvey Keitel as well as Justin Bartha are also reprising their roles as Peter Sadusky and Riley Poole, respectively. Nicholas Cage who starred in the original National Treasure is not involved in the series.
National Treasure: Edge of History follows Jess Valenzuela who is on the hunt for answers about her family. What she finds is something even more astounding and involves a treasure hunt for a lost Pan-American artifact.
Unfortunately you missed the escape room experience which rain for two days only (October 10th and October 11th.) However, you can make up for it by catching National Treasure on Disney+ on Wednesday.
