‘Andor’ Awarded with Two Critics’ Choice Nominations
The hit Star Wars series, “Andor,” a prequel to “Rogue One,” received not one but two nominations yesterday for Critics’ Choice Awards. The acclaimed show follows the evolution of Andor, the titular character played by Diego Luna. The nominations come as no surprise, considering the show’s 96% rating on the popular critics’ aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.
“Andor” dropped on September 21st of this year and ran for twelve episodes, giving it a higher episode count than most original series produced so far on the streaming platform. It even exceeded the number of episodes for either season of “The Mandalorian” thus far.
Not only did the show recieve a nomination for “Best Drama Series,” but Luna also received a nod for “Best Actor in a Drama Series.” Luna got his acting start in “Y Tu Mama Tambien” in 2001, which happend to star another Disney+ star, Gael Garcia Bernal (“Werewolf by Night”).
