Spaceship Earth Experiencing Unusually Long Wait Times
Our MickeyBloggers are at EPCOT today, bringing you the latest, so you can know before you go. While strolling through the Park, we noticed that Spaceship Earth is experiencing unusually long wait times.
Spaceship Earth
A landmark in World Celebration at EPCOT, Spaceship Earth takes Guests on a journey through time. Disney invites visitors to, “explore the remarkable history of human communication from the Stone Age to the computer age.”
The attraction takes riders back to the beginning, to learn about innovative moments in history that contributed to today’s technology. After returning to the present day, Guests can design their own future using a touch screen within the vehicle.
Audio-Animatronics and elaborate sets combine to form an inspirational 16-minute experience. The Omnimover-style attraction is EPCOT’s flagship, an unmistakable symbol of the Park.
That being said, it’s easy to see why people are lining up for the ride, especially if they’re out-of-towners. Let’s take a look at the unusually long lines that are already forming today.
Unusually Long Wait Times
Both the Stand-by and Lightning Lane entrances were noticeably crowded when we arrived.
Typically, we see around a 15-minute wait time for the attraction.
As you can see in the pictures, people are packing in for a chance to experience it.
The first time we swung by, the lines were twice as long as usual, with a 30-minute wait time.
When we circled back later, wait times had increased to 40 minutes long.
The walkways are congested as well.
But that’s to be expected during the holidays.
In the video below, you’ll see the line wrapped around the building.
You can hear the hustle and bustle of the crowds, but the birds are chirping and the sky is blue!
It’s a beautiful day at Walt Disney World Resort!
If you’re visiting EPCOT today, plan accordingly, knowing that Spaceship Earth is experiencing unusually long wait times.
