Bob Chapek Removed From Castaway Cay Signage
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you’ve no doubt seen the news that after two years as CEO of The Walt Disney Company, Bob Chapek is out. Former CEO Bob Iger has returned to the company and agreed to stay on for a minimum of two years to get the House of Mouse back on track.
We are starting to see signs of Chapek’s departure as far away as the Bahamas where a subtle nod to Chapek has been removed from Disney’s private island Castaway Cay. Check out this tweet from @THEDCLBlog

In comparison, here are a few images that our MickeyBloggers took of the same Pump House during a Disney Wish sailing a few weeks back.
What looks like an empty space on the DCLBlog photo actually used to be home to a sign with Chapek’s name as the current CEO of the company. It sits just opposite a sign of Josh D’Amaro who is current Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products.
Today, Bob Chapek’s name has been removed as “Master Ship Builder” on Castaway Cay and only D’Amaro’s sign remains.
We suspect that it won’t be long before we see the Chapek sign replaced with the former Bob Iger sign. If you’re lucky enough to be making a pitstop at Castaway Cay in the days and weeks ahead then keep us posted.
