10 Festival of the Holidays Treats Kids Are Sure To Love
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog then you’ll know that the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays kicked off yesterday and will run through December 30th. A highlight of this year’s fest is the Holiday Kitchens that you’ll find throughout the parks serving up both sweet and savory eats and treats.
We always recommend that you and your family make a meal out of trying some of the goodies from around the world. However, with tiny tots in tow, knowing where to go for items they’re sure to like can be half the battle. That’s where we come in. Here are 10 kid-friendly menu items to get you started!
Head over to Holiday Hearth Desserts (in the Odyssey Pavilion) for the classic gingerbread cookie. These cookies are decorated beautifully and make for the perfect family photo.
Refreshment Port near the Canada Pavilion is serving up Thanksgiving Dinner in French Fry form. The Turkey Poutine comes with a French Fries base with turkey gravy, cranberry relish and crispy onion.
L’Chaim! Holiday Kitchen located between France and Morocco is serving up the traditional Black and White Cookies. These goodies are plant-based making them perfect with those with dietary restrictions.
Just like mom’s home cooking, the Yukon Holiday Kitchen in the Canada Pavilion is serving up a savory Beef Bourguignons with gravy on a bed of crushed potatoes.
If you were following along with us yesterday, you may have seen our photos of the Holiday Yeast Donut being served up at The Donut Box. You’ll find this Holiday Kitchen near Test Track. Here you’ll find a myriad of different donut treats that kids are sure to love. Differences include Croissant Donut (cinnamon sugar), Holiday Yeast Donut with vanilla icing and red and white sprinkles, Chocolate Peppermint Donut, Eggnog and Cream-filled Donut with cinnamon icing and crumbled gingersnap cookies.
You can even wash your favorite donut down with a delicious Gingerbread Milkshake.
If you’re popping over to The Land Pavilion for a meal at popular Quick Service spot Sunshine Seasons then save room for the Jingle Sugar Cookie made with M&Ms chocolate candies.
If you’ve got sushi fans in the family then head over to the Japan pavilion where you’ll find the best Sushi treat ever. Above is a picture Sushi Tree which features Sushi Roll with krab meat and cream cheese topped with tempura, Ikura salmon roe, and spicy mayonnaise.
This is also the place to go for Boba tea. Shi Wasu is serving up Ichigo Milk Boba – Cranberry and yuzu cream drink featuring Japanese Calpico Soft Drink and popping strawberry bob pearls.
The Funnel Cake stand at the American Adventure Pavilion is serving up a delectable holiday goodie. The Mini Funnel Cake is topped with peppermint ice cream, chocolate whipped cream and crushed peppermint.
While we’re over at the American Adventure Pavilion, we’ve got another savory treat that is bringing Thanksgiving Dinner to the theme parks. American Holiday Table is serving up slow-roasted Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans and cranberry sauce.
Last but certainly not least, is a kid-friend item that is functional and makes a great souvenir. Marketplaces throughout EPCOT will be serving up a Chip ‘n’ Dale Sport, This cutie retails for $2.50, features an image of Chip and Dale and can be reused as you sample your way around the World Showcase.
