Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
Premiering next year on February 17, 2023, Quantumania is a highly anticipated sequel. The film’s first trailer was released in October, giving fans an inside look at the plot.

Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, his daughter, his partner, and her parents have found themselves in a sticky situation. Brought to the Quantum Realm, they discover bizarre worlds and creatures.

The new image teases an encounter between Ant-Man played by Paul Rudd, and Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors. Those who follow the various films and television shows involved in the MCU have already been introduced to Kang, in a variant form.

Known as ‘He Who Remains’ the character appeared in Loki’s season one finale on Disney+. In the show, ‘He Who Remains’ tells Loki his death would bring on a multiversal war, led by variants of Kang.
The villain would not stop until all worlds were conquered. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania marks the first film of Phase Five in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Collider reports that Kang will be a fixture in the MCU throughout Phases 5 and 6. In fact, the next Avengers film will feature Marvel’s superheroes battling against him.
The second season of Loki will also showcase the character as teased in the season finale. Director Peyton Reed shares, “I think Kang has a profound impact on the MCU.”

He adds, “There’s been a lot of discussion about the impact that this appearance of Kang The Conqueror makes. There are big things in store.”
Paul Rudd
Paul Rudd brings a lighthearted aspect to his heroic character. Ant-Man is beloved by fans largely in part to Rudd’s portrayal, in which he flawlessly combines comedic attributes and a self-deprecating personality.
