In-Person Safety Drills Return to Disney Cruise Line
While most changes brought on by the COVID pandemic were unpopular, there were a few that many hoped would stick around even after things with pandemic winded down. One of those changes was the Safety Drill requirement on Disney Cruise Line.

When Disney Cruise Line returned to cruising last year, they changed their in-person requirement for their Safety Drills to a virtual experience where you check-in on the app once you visited your designated muster station and then watch a safety video.
While many people, including myself, enjoyed not having to do the in-person safety drill and enjoyed the virtual option, I am here to report that Disney Cruise Line has confirmed the in-person requirement is returning to all ships in their fleet.

The in-person Safety Drill began on over the weekend for all Guests on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. It will return today. Monday, November 14, for all Guests departing on the Disney Wish.
In-person Safety Drills return to the Disney Wonder beginning on Wednesday, November 16 and on Sunday, November 20 to the Disney Magic.

Per Disney, this was there intent when bringing back the in-person Drills:
This transition will ensure all Crew Members and Guests are fully aware of our safety procedures in the event of an emergency. The DCL Navigator App will continue to notify Guests of their assigned assembly station, provide directions for getting to their location and share additional safety information with Guests.

With the return of in-person Safety Drills, curing with Disney Cruise Line is pretty much back to a pre-COVID experience. Buffets are back, in-person character meet and greets have returned, social distancing has been suspended, in addition to several COVID-era changes.
