Float Breaks Down During Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade
For those of you who haven’t heard, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is back in the Magic Kingdom!
Perhaps Disney’s premiere hard ticket event, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is known for its unique holiday entertainment, character meet and greets, and of course, Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade.
After a two year hiatus, the Christmas spectacular is back in full swing, but it appears as if Disney may still have a few kinks to work out.
During tonight’s Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, the procession was making its way down Main Street USA, when things came to a grinding halt. But luckily, when things looked bleak, a hero emerged to save the day!
It all started when the Santa’s Workshop float broke down on its way through Main Street.
The float seemingly died mid-parade, causing quite the backup!
While the rest of the parade performers valiantly carried on, a Disney technician came out to try and restart the stalled float.
As parade goers patiently waited, our champion attempted to get the broken float restarted.
After a few attempts at jumping the float, all hope seemed lost. Would Christmas at the Magic Kingdom be ruined?
Just when things seemed darkest however, a new hero emerged- the tow kart guy!
With nothing but a small blue kart and determination, this dedicated Disney employee saved the parade! And with that, a new star was born!
With the Santa’s Workshop float back in motion, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade was able to conclude.
Guests who lined the parade route, even applauded our hero as he pulled the float to the finish line!

And that my friends, is how the man with the tow kart saved Christmas!
