Nicolas Cage May Return For ‘National Treasure: Edge of History’ Season 2
Fans of a popular Disney franchise could be in for a treat. Nicolas Cage may return for National Treasure: Edge of History season 2.

Fans were thrilled when it was announced in 2020 that a show would continue the story of the National Treasure movies. The only problem was, Nicolas Cage would not be reprising his role.

Jerry Bruckheimer originally revealed that although the show would follow the concept of the films, there would be a new, younger cast. The title for the series was revealed this summer right before San Diego Comic-Con, but people were disappointed that the movie’s protagonist would be absent.

Today, Giant Freakin Robot reported that according to their “trusted and proven sources” Nicolas Cage may “have a role in the second season” of the show. The first season of National Treasure: Edge of History is set to premiere on Disney+ on December 14.

Jerry Bruckheimer has already confirmed that a third movie is in the works. Reportedly, it’s expected to debut in 2024.
