Upcoming Openings and Releases Celebrated with Pins
Though Magic Kingdom’s Tron Lightcycle/Run still waits for an official opening date, one new patch and pin set commemorates the original 1982 film.
With “Wakanda Forever” releasing in theatres on Thursday, it came as no surprise to find not one but two new Marvel pins in the exclusive container today.
One features the film studio’s Logo while the second proudly displays unique artistry surrounding the “World of Wakanda.” This pin is really something special, capturing the power of the variant cover used in “Black Panther” Issue #25, the finale of the Ta-Nehisi Coates run.
Classic Disney Park Icons and Films Celebrated
Artist Maria Stuckey shared her talents to create a playful Figment specialty pin. The oversized pin adds a touch of sparkle in its bedazzled rainbow that leads to Spaceship Earth.
Alice and Dinah relax on a pin fit for a midday nap as the curious character prepares to place a flower crown on her beloved cat’s head.
With two vintage park options, one new pin utilizes Magic Kingdom’s original park math in a solid vintage throwback. Another in the “Floating Down Main Street, U.S.A.” line ties Simba into the new choices. On the pin, the feline naps peacefully on top of a hot air balloon … and Timon.
Star Wars Icons Produce Powerful Pins
In a new line of pins from Ashley Eckstein’s Her Universe, five Star Wars heriones celebrate their remarkable stories.
Accented by bold red, the “Leader” pin shares the glory of Queen Padma Amidala.
One of the latest Jedi to join the Force, Rey provides the focal point for the “Hero” pin.
It wouldn’t be a Her Universe complete set without the character featured on the “Survivor” pin: Ahsoka Tano.
A fourth pin commemorates the original Rebel herself, Princess Leia.
Further, the fifth introduces one of the franchise’s newest powerful female forces: the ever-confident Bo Katan of “The Mandalorian.”
All of this specialty pins can be found at Pin Traders, conveniently located under Spaceship Earth at EPCOT.
