Subtropical Storm Nicole Impacts Disney Wish Sailing
All eyes are on Florida right now and the newly-formed subtropical storm, Nicole. As Nicole begins to approach Florida, there has been a change in schedule to the Disney Wish sailing that sails out of Port Canaveral, Florida later this afternoon.
The Disney Wish will still depart from Port Canaveral this afternoon as planned. However, instead of going to the Bahamas – including stops in Nassau and Disney’s Castaway Cay, it will not chart a different course as follows:
Monday, November 7
Depart Port Canaveral, Florida as scheduled
Tuesday, November 8
Sea Day instead of a stop at Nassau, Bahamas

Cozumel, Mexico instead of stop at Disney’s Castaway Cay
Thursday, November 10
Sea Day as scheduled
Friday, November 11
Scheduled arrival back at Port Canaveral, Florida

In the correspondence sent to guests who are on today’s sailing of the Disney Wish, Disney Cruise Line stated:
As you may be aware, Subtropical Storm Nicole is currently located in the Eastern Caribbean and is forecasted to move through the Bahamas later this week. We have been closely monitoring this storm system to ensure our Guests enjoy safe and comfortable cruises.
The Disney Wish will sail its inaugural season of three- and four-night cruises to Nassau, Bahamas, and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, from its new home port of Port Canaveral, Florida.
While we plan to sail from Port Canaveral today as scheduled, it is necessary to make some changes to your sailing to make certain our ships steer clear of the storm.
Any pre-reserved Port Adventures in Nassau and Castaway Cay will be automatically removed from your stateroom account. If you are interested in reserving experiences ashore in Cozumel, you may do so once onboard the ship through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.

Currently, this change to the sailing of the Wish is the only direct impact from Subtropical Storm Nicole. No changes or advisiories have been made pertaining to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
