‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Makes History With Nigeria Premiere
An epic Marvel movie is set to debut in just a few days. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever makes history with its premiere in Nigeria!

Yesterday marked a major event for the MCU. The highly anticipated Black Panther sequel made a historic debut in Lagos, Nigeria.
Deadline reports this is “the first time a Marvel movie has held a premiere locally.” A large group of actors, filmmakers, and press were there to celebrate the black carpet affair.
The event took place at Filmhouse Cinemas IMAX Lekki, playing on multiple screens. Director Ryan Coogler was joined by actors Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Winston Duke, and Michaela Coel.
Producer Nate Moore and soundtrack artists were also in attendance at the historic event.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Mickey Blog recently shared about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘s World Premiere in Los Angeles.
After L.A., the team headed to Cineworld Leicester Square in London for its European debut. The Africa International Film Festival ( AFRIFF) and Film One Entertainment united for the Nigeria premiere, to celebrate the movie’s African heritage.
AFRIFF runs from November 6-12. Its founder, Chioma Ude recently shared about the importance of the Nigeria premiere.
She stated, “We are excited and proud to be a part of the premiere of this milestone film here in Africa. This is huge for the continent of Africa as it symbolizes to us further bridging of the gaps between the global film industries.”
The original Black Panther continues to be the number-one movie in East and West Africa. Its premiere took place in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2018.
FilmOne Entertainment had this to say about the event, “Being instrumental to the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in West Africa is a proud achievement and a milestone for us and the entire FilmOne team, it will be celebrated for a long time.”
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever debuts to the general public on November 11 in Nigeria and the U.S. What an amazing moment as the movie makes history with its Nigeria premiere!
