UPDATE: Gingerbread House Taking Shape at Grand Floridian in Disney World
If you’ve been following with MickeyBlog then you’ll know that cast members are currently hard at work on building the stunning Victorian Gingerbread House at Disney’s Grand Floridian.
We popped by this afternoon to take a look and were told that the entire creation should be completed by 6pm tomorrow!
You can see the team hard at work across multiple levels bringing this beauty to life!
As you can see there is still shingling work to be done.
As in previous years, when open, the Gingerbread House will be home to a pop-up holiday shop where you can get tasty gingerbread treats!
You can see the teams laying the shingles, icing in hand.
As you can see, the eaves are lighted for extra effect.
Below, you can get a first look at the insane amount of ingredients required to bring this creation to life.
This years creation includes:
- 1050 lbs of Honey
- 140 pints of Egg Whites
- 600 lbs of Powdered Sugard
- 700 lbs of Chocolate
- 800 lbs of Flour
- 35 lbs of Spices
We’ll continue to keep you updated about the progress of the Gingerbread House as well as the menu for this year’s pop-up shop.
