Completed Gingerbread Carousel
One of the first things you’ll notice if you take a step back is Santa’s Nice List. Sitting in the foreground of the display, it informs Guests about the Carousel, which was created by the pastry team!
It consists of handcrafted, edible gingerbread, sugar, and chocolate. Cast Members spent over 600 hours creating the beautiful piece, with work beginning in July.
Those who contributed to the project earned a spot on Santa’s Nice List! Complete with a nod to Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, and Mickey ears in the bottom right corner, it’s a great tribute to the team!
Another side of the display features all of the ingredients used in the Carousel. That is quite a list! Hidden in the piece are 22 Hidden Mickeys!
Looking at the carousel head-on, you can see that it’s wrapped with a beautiful white picket fence. Candy cane-colored bows add a nice touch to the holiday display.
Here’s the completed Belle horse, in all her glory!
An ode to Beauty and the Beast, it features the iconic rose on its side.
The Elsa horse looks stunning in winter colors of white and blue.
This piece provides a truly Frozen theme with a body that looks like snow!
Snow White’s horse is so detailed! Check out the design on its collar!
The animated image gets your imagination going, as you reminisce about scenes from the film.
Princess Tiana’s pony is dainty and delicate with soft colors of green and blue. Each horse is connected to a pole that looks exactly like metal, amazing!
Princess Jasmine’s horse sits in front of the carousel.
Bedazzled with jewels, a picture of her palace dons the side.
The castle and 50th Anniversary emblem provide the perfect finishing touches!
