Mickey Blog is in the Parks today and came across this spooktacular dessert, so we had to give it a try! Let’s take a closer look at the cake, as we share our review with you.
Monster Mousse Dome Cake
The Monster Mousse Dome Cake contains a caramel mousse and apple-caramel filling that comes on a shortbread cookie. Here for a limited time, Guests can enjoy the sweet treat from October 28 to October 31 in celebration of Halloween!
For $5.99, I’d say it’s worth a try. It’s beautiful to look at with its smooth purple finish. One lone eyeball adorns the front of the mousse, similar to Mike Wazowski’s from Monster’s Inc!
A red candle sits on top of the dome, while a layer of purple and white sprinkles surrounds the base.
The outside looks amazing, but what does it taste like? According to Jessica, the item is very sweet! She recommends sharing it, due to its richness.
The caramel mousse is delicious, with a fluffy texture, perfect for those with a sweet tooth! While there is a little bit of apple filling, caramel is the predominant flavor.
The apples add a nice texture, so much so, we wish there were more of them! On the bottom of the dome, a thin layer of shortbread leaves us wanting more crunch.
As for its topping, it has a gelatin-like texture offset nicely by the sugar sprinkles and white chocolate details. If this sounds like your cup of tea, head over and grab this Monster Mousse Dome Cake that’s spooking up Sunshine Seasons!
