Roundup Rodeo BBQ Construction Update
Roundup Rodeo BBQ construction continues to progress as we hungrily anticipate the opening of this new restaurant at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney previously announced that the new dining location will open “in 2022.”
2022 is quickly coming to an end (just 67 days away from today) and MickeyBloggers are excited to show you a peak at how the construction is coming along!
Two new lamps have been added to what will be the front entrance of this unique, fun, and family-friendly barbeque restaurant. When you dine in this new space, you’ll be surrounded by toys, games, and playsets that Andy has brought together to create a very one-of-a-kind rodeo!
It looks like one of the lamps is being held on by a twist tie Andy has repurposed from a bread bag (hopefully one that was empty). Maybe we’ll see some BBQ sandwiches on the menu.
The real question I’m asking is… what kind of BBQ will Disney opt to serve? If you’re not a barbeque connoisseur, you may not realize that it can vary greatly by region.
The Roundup Rodeo may favor Texas-style BBQ famous for its brisket, or possibly Lexington NC’s vinegar-based sauces over chopped pork BBQ sandwiches. There are also mustard- and tomato-based sauces popular in other states and many plant-based protein options gaining popularity.
The great BBQ debate can “pit” opinions against one another, but we’re sure that the Roundup Rodeo will be a place for families to enjoy themselves, no matter what is served.
