Lime Garage Fountain Covered Up At Disney Springs

Mickey Blog is at Walt Disney World today and we’ve got some updates for you. This morning, we noticed the Lime Garage fountain is currently covered up at
Disney Springs.

Lime Garage Fountain
Outside of the Lime Garage, there’s a beautiful, multi-tiered fountain. Some may recall this water feature from a story that made Disney news a couple months ago.
A man with a surfboard was caught soaking his feet in said fountain. It made for quite an interesting headline as it seemed he was trying to catch a wave due to the surfboard.
Let’s take a look at the covered up fountain. A close up shot shows a big, square tarp wrapped around its center, enveloping the water feauture.
From further away, you can see a shadow of the fountain’s core.
Here’s another angle showing two levels of material, fully covering the fountain.
Upon closer inspection, it appears that most of the water has been drained, exposing some of its working parts, as well as leftover coins thrown in by Guests.
We’re not exactly sure what’s going on, but this fountain has experienced problems before. Last month, it reportedly broke, causing significant damage.
All sides are blocked, presumably until staff fixes the problem, or cleans it.
