According to Deadline, “months of speculation” has been brewing about a potential new Star Wars film. Now, sources close to the project have confirmed that Damon Lindelof is developing the galactic project.

In August, rumors circulated that Lindelof had been seen regularly on a Disney lot, igniting curiosity. Ms. Marvel director, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, will be joining the writer to direct the upcoming film.
The script is currently in the works, with Lindelof as co-writer, hinting that production is still a long way off. It’s currently unknown who’s writing alongside him.

No details have been released as to the plot of the highly anticipated movie. It seems Disney is keeping this one close to the chest for the time being.
As for its release, fans can only speculate. Something worth considering is the addition of the film’s director.
