Upcoming Walt Disney World Resort Refurbishments
Planning a stay at Walt Disney World in the near future? Disney has recently updated the list of resort refurbishments. Here’s everything you need to know:
Walt Disney World Resort- Resort Hotel Refurbishments
Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- 2023 Refurbishments- From January 9, 2023 – April 2023 both the feature pool and the whirlpool spas will be closed for refurbishment. The water play area at Bay Lake Pool will remain open. Guests may see and hear construction noise when refurbishment is underway but this shouldn’t be before 9am.
- Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- 2023 Refurbishments- The feature pool and whirlpool spas at the adjacent Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be closed for refurbishment from January 9, 2023 through early April 2023. The following will remain open for your enjoyment: Bay Cove Pool, leisure pool and water play area at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- 2024 Refurbishments – From January 2024 – April 2024, the Fantasia Pool at All-Star Movies will be closed for routine maintenance. Guests may see or hear construction during daytime hours. The Duck Pond Pool at the resort will remain open to accommodate guests.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- 2023 Refurbishments – From January 22, 2023 through January 29, 2023 the Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment and will be replaced by complimentary bus service.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Villas, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- 2023 Refurbishments – From January 22, 2023 through January 29, 2023, the Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment. Complimentary bus and boat service will be available.
Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
- 2023 Refurbishments :
- From January 22, 2023 through January 29, 2023, the Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment. Complimentary bus and boat service will be available.
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas is being refurbished, with new offerings, plus updates coming to our Guest rooms, lobby and more. Most hotel amenities will remain available but you may be able to see and hear construction during daytime hours.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- 2023 Refurbishment- From January 22, 2023 through January 29, 2023, the Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment. Complimentary bus service will be available.
- 2024 Refurbishments- From January 2024 through April 2024, the Fuentes del Morro Pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort will be closed for routine maintenance. Guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours. During this time guests can use the five other leisure pools on property.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
- 2023 Refurbishments – January 9, 2023 through early April 2023, Meadow Swimmin’ Pool and whirlpool spa will be closed for refurbishment. The water play area and Meadow Snack Bar along with the Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool and its nearby whirlpool spa will remain open for your enjoyment. You may see and hear construction noise while this refurbishment is underway, but you should not hear noise from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 AM. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- 2022 Refurbishments- Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is currently unavailable due to refurbishment. We expect to return next year with an enhanced table-service experience. During this time, we invite you to join us at Cítricos for a newly re-imagined signature dining experience.
- 2023 Refurbishments – Starting March 1, 2022, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will undergo refurbishment. Guests will be able to see and hear construction during daytime hours. Most Resort hotel amenities will remain available. Please allow for additional travel time.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
- 2022 Refurbishments:
- As we prepare for the proposed expansion at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you will see and hear construction at certain times of day. To minimize disruptions during your stay, activities that may create noise will not start earlier than 9 a.m.
- Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is currently unavailable due to refurbishment. We will reopen on November 1, 2022 with an enhanced table-service experience. In the meantime, we invite you to use Mobile Order service through the My Disney Experience app to order select breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings from Kona Cafe To Go, which can be picked up next to Kona Island.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- 2023 Refurbishments – From January 22, 2023 through January 29, 2023, the Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment. Complimentary bus service will be available.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
- 2024 Refurbishments – From January 2024 through April 2024, the Doubloon Lagoon pool at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter will be closed for routine maintenance. Guests may see or hear construction work during day time hours. During this time, Guests are welcome to swim in the Ol’ Man Island pool at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.
Disney’s Riviera Resort
- 2023 Refurbishments – From January 22, 2023 through January 29, 2023, the Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment. Complimentary bus service will be available.

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- 2022 Refurbishments- From October 3 through mid-December 2022, the Congress Park leisure pool and the Treehouse Villa pools will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, the High Rock Spring Pool, Grandstand Pool and Paddock Pool will remain open during usual operating hours. Shuttle transportation between the Treehouse Villas and the High Rock Springs Pool will be available from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
- 2023 Refurbishments- From early January 2023 through late-March 2023, High Rock Spring Pool and On the Rocks Pool Bar will be closed while the pool undergoes refurbishment. The Grandstand Pool, The Paddock Pool and Congress Park Pool will remain open for your enjoyment. You may see and hear construction while refurbishments are underway, but you should not hear noise from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 AM.
