Adventures by Disney Announces Adriatic Sea Expedition Cruise
Calling all Adventurers! Adventures by Disney has just announced a first-ever Adriatic Sea Expedition Cruise for 2024 and you’ll be wanting to add this to your travel bucket list NOW!
All About the Adventures by Disney Adriatic Sea Expedition Cruise
Guests will be treated to the adventure of a lifetime on the famed Adriatic Sea waterway that is packed with captivating history, exquisite cuisine, and jaw-dropping views.

This Adventures by Disney vacation is for eight days and seven nights and includes a round-trip cruise from Venice, Italy. Ports of call include Croatia and Montenegro along with five others.
The adventure will be hosted aboard the luxurious PONANT ship, Le Bougainville. The Le Bougainville is a small, purpose built ship that has been designed to access the most remote locations.

Adriatic Sea Expedition Cruise Excursions
Sailing along the breathtaking Adriatic Sea coastline, Guests will be fully-immersed into the culture and story-telling of the region. Each day will bring new and exciting excursions for Guests that have been carefully curated by Adventures by Disney travel experts. Some of these excursions include:
- Discover the islands along the Adriatic coast with stops in Korcula to try the famed Mail Ston oysters and Hvar to kayak the Pakleni Islands.
- Try delicious Croatian wine and food while taking in the captivation architecture and culture of the region.
- Bike the the vineyards and lavender fields of Stari Grad Plain – a UNESCO World Heritage Site
- Enjoy regional delicacies like Dalmatian Prosciutto which is aged by the bura – a northerly-blowing wind that is common in the winter months.
- Enjoy the sights of a picturesque Boka Bay in Montenegro by catamaran or take a stroll along the cobble stone streets of Old Town Kotor.
- Explore medieval Croatian port towns awash in warm limestone and distincitve, red-tiled roofs, and visit world-famous Predjama Castle in Slovenia.
- Take a closer look into gigantic labyrinth at Slovenia’s Postonja Cave and discover the “dragons” that call it home.
- Take a step back in time to learn about time-honored Croatian traditions including the unique methods of pressing olive oil.

Onboard the PONANT Le Bougainville
While onboard the Adriatic Expedition Cruise, Families will be treated to themed karaoke nights, game/trivia nights, a talent show, and Disney Movies.
For the adults, cocktail classes and fitness classes will be offered.
Just for the Junior Adventurers (guests 12 and under), Adventure Guides will lead special events including a “Pirates of the Adriatic” swim party, a pizza party, Dalmatian Dash scavenger hunt, navigation lessons, and much more.

- Antarctica and Patagonia Expedition Cruise: This southern region itinerary offers the chance to discover the pristine splendor of Antarctica and Argentina’s beautiful Patagonia region. Here, the magic of wildlife takes the stage as guests observe animals such as penguins, seals and whales in their natural habitat. Dates: Dec. 17-28, 2023, and Feb. 17-28, 2024.
- Arctic Expedition Cruise: This expedition cruise in the northern polar region features the Arctic waters and surrounding landscapes of Svalbard. Guests will sail past deep fjords, discover the human history of the Arctic, marvel at massive glaciers and see amazing wildlife including polar bears, reindeer and walruses. Date: July 1-10, 2024.
- Galapagos Islands Expedition Cruise: This island-hopping expedition cruise through the Galapagos Archipelago is an immersive family adventure. Guided by expert naturalists, guests will discover more about the amazing ecosystems and unique species endemic to the islands as they experience the unmatched views of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Dates: March 17-25, June 9-17, July 14-22, Aug. 7-15, and Dec. 18-26, 2024.

The booking window for all Adventures by Disney Expedition Cruises in 2024 open to the public beginning Thursday, October 27, 2022. However, if you fall into one of these groups, your booking window will open earlier:
- Oct. 24, 2022 – Adventure Insiders with 3+ previous Adventures
- Oct. 25, 2022 – All Adventure Insiders
- Oct. 26, 2022 – Disney Vacation Club Members, Disney Cruise Line Gold & Platinum Castaway Members, Golden Oak Residents
- Oct. 27, 2022 – Bookings open for general public
