The Ghost Host Presents Scary Halloween Videos for Disney Fans
Greetings, foolish mortals! Your favorite time of the year is at hand! The witching hour of Halloween is mere days away.
It’s the time when the barrier between the mortal coil and the ghastly beyond is thinnest.
So, my friends, the Grim Grinning Ghosts are smiling even brighter today as they anticipate your attendance at an October 31st swinging wake.
We seek to entertain you. So, here are eight of the best Disney videos for Halloween fans.
Welcome to My Holiday Home
Your Ghost Host doesn’t like to brag, but I’m kind of a big deal, especially at my California home.
Each year, my patrons decorate the place especially for me. Well, me and my dear friend, Jack Skellington.
Honestly, I’m not crazy about that guy. He looks the part, but his heart doesn’t seem like it’s into scaring strangers.
Now, that Oogie Boogie, though… That dude can rock a burlap sack and terrify small children. He’s got it all.
Welcome to My Normal Home
Alas, your limited annual calendar cannot handle the greatness of Halloween all year round.
Instead, you hide from the horrors most months of the year. My Haunted Mansion doesn’t care, though.
This eternal resting spot is so mysterious and evil that it even exists in two different places, Anaheim and Orlando.
Please don’t ask me how I can appear in two theme parks at once. It’s a mystical secret of the spirit world.
If I had to pick, I’d choose my original home, though. It’s the only place where I can hang out with my dear friend, the Hatbox Ghost.
This fashion mogul performs the best party trick with his hat. I’m told that he’s planning to take up a second residence in Orlando next year, too.
The Phantom of the Manor – Disneyland Paris
While your humble Ghost Host holds a firm grip on his American territories, others dwell in international haunted mansions.
While I can be in two places at once, I refuse to do six. Disney’s too cheap to pay me for the overtime of working 24 hours a day.
So, I have allowed others to frighten tourists in other countries. Perhaps the creepiest fellow lives at Phantom Manor in Disneyland Paris.
This deceased gentleman cares far too much about the romantic pursuits of his daughter.
So, he murders her betrothed on their wedding day and then continues to torment her afterward. That’s…pretty hardcore.
I need to ask Madame Leota for some intel here. That dude seems like a threat to my afterlife position as head of all things Haunted Mansion
A Silly Monkey and His Addled Friend
I worry that the previous video may have overly stressed you. Unfortunately, not everyone can handle the challenges that come with ghostly hauntings.
Mayhap you need some comic relief. That’s where our friend, the monkey, comes into play.
This delightful chap lives in an ancient manor overflowing with priceless antiquities. Many of them possess otherworldly powers, the kind monkeys should leave alone.
That’s why I’m not surprised when the monkey ends up stuck to the wall with arrows stapling him in place.
Still, memories of that cute monkey should sustain you during this next clip…
Countless Frightful Jumps
Your online video services fascinate me, a product of the 18th-century pirate generation. I especially admire your YouTube.
This person has taken all the Disney movies ever made and pulled together all the frightful moments.
The list is imperfect, as it contains no scenes from my Haunted Mansion. I blame Eddie Murphy for overacting.
As punishment, I’m sending three Hitchhiking Ghosts to his house as we speak.
Still, I am happy to watch my friend, the Headless Horseman, torment that wretch, Ichabod Crane.
Even I hate that scariest of scenes at the end, though. Poor Simba.
It’s Not a Competition
Here’s another excellent debate. Which Disney villain is the scariest?
Remember that yours truly isn’t technically eligible for this category, although that may change in 2023 when the new Haunted Mansion arrives.
Still, I like knowing that many of my Disney friends and frenemies are nearly as evil as me.
The Tower of Terror Movie
As a resident of the afterlife, your ghost host exists beyond good and evil. For this reason, I could care less about the questionable legality of this clip.
Many years ago, Disney made its first attempt at a movie based on the nefarious events at the Hollywood Tower Hotel.
This low-budget made-for-tv story was evil enough on its own, but then ABC cast Steve Guttenberg to put it over the top.
You’ll also notice a young Kirsten Dunst as Guttenberg’s daughter. Be careful. As a child, she was once a vampire, the daughter of a creature named Lestat.
Personally, I’d rather not encounter a preteen vampire in a Tower of Terror. And I’m noncorporeal.
Behind the Scenes at My Home
Finally, there’s this. It’s a Halloween special from 1970 starring the Osmond Brothers, Kurt Russell, and Barbara Eden.
This video shows behind-the-scenes footage of how Imagineers constructed the greatest theme park attraction ever, my home at Haunted Mansion.
I do hope you’ll believe everything that you see here. It helps me and 998 of my friends if you suspect nothing when you enter our home.
Still, the scariest things in this video have nothing to do with Haunted Mansion. Instead, it’s the clothing and the singing that will torment you from now through Halloween!
