Sneak Peeks – Train Returning to the Magic Kingdom
With Disney’s announcement of when they plan to have the new Tron Lightcycle Roller Coaster at the Magic Kingdom open. We are starting to see signs of the Walt Disney World Railroad Train returning to the Magic Kingdom.
A Walk through Fantasyland
While MickeyBloggers were at the Magic Kingdom today, they heard and then saw some sneak peeks of Train working on it’s return to the Magic Kingdom.
While they were walking through Fantasyland, they could hear the train’s whistle blowing.
Walking up by the Fantasyland Train Station, they could heard the train’s whistle being tested.
Look at that Beautiful Train Engine
As you watch the video you can see the steam from the engine. Then just a little glimpse of the train’s engine itself.
Why is the Walt Disney World Railroad Closed?
The Walt Disney World Railroad at the Magic Kingdom has been closed since December 3, 2018. It was closed because some of the train tracks would need rerouted with the building of the new Tron Lightcycle Roller Coaster.
Then with the shut down of the parks because of the outbreak of COVID-19, all work had come to a complete stop.
Disney has announced that Tron LightCycles will open in Spring of 2023. Since then we have started to see where the train will run through and around that part of Tomorrowland.
In the almost 4 years that the Magic Kingdom Railroad has not been running, the Main Street train station got a beautiful refurbishment.
Sine the Magic Kingdom reopened after the shut down for the COVID-19 outbreak, characters have used the Main Street Train Station to greet guests while socially distanced.
Even after meet and greets returned to normal, characters and cast members have continued greeting guests this way.
Hopefully with the work on Tron Lightcycle Roller Coaster and the new section of the train tracks continue we will soon hear a planned re-opening for the Walt Disney World Railroad Train at the Magic Kingdom.
