Hollywood Studios Passholder Reservations Booked Solid for Fantasmic! Return
Earlier today, Walt Disney World Resort announced an opening date for a huge fan-favorite nighttime experience at Hollywood Studiods, Fantasmic! Debuting on November 3rd, the long-awaited return of the popular spectacle pushed the popularity of certain park reservations that day to the brink already.
Luckily, Walt Disney World Resort guests staying on property as well as those buying individual park tickets continue to be able to book Hollywood Studios reservations at this time for the premiere date.
The same cannot be said for any Walt Disney World annual passholders though. Those who hold the Pixie Dust Pass or the Pirate Pass already deal with a number of black out dates throughout the year. Predictably, November 3rd quickly joined the list of no-go reservations too, at least at Hollywood Studios.
Even those who hold the Sorcerer Pass, which includes Disney Vaction Club members, and the most comprehensive option of all, the Incredi Pass, found themselves blocked out of Hollywood Studios by this afternoon.
Of course, passholders can still book park reservations at a different theme park for that day and then try to hop into Hollywood Studios at 2 p.m. based on availability.
With annual pass sales for the top three passes still paused indefinitely, the reservation availability vanishing that quickly comes as a bit of a surprise. In the past, issues with passholder reservation availability have sparked quite a debate among Disney Park’s loyal fans, especially at Disneyland Resort.
Fantasmic! Finally Returns
Beloved for the heroic tale that the show tells, Fantasmic! has long captured the hearts of thousands of Disney Parks guests. The new show even promises an additional sequence of events to enhance to Mickey’s quest.
“Through the entire sequence, we go on a journey with our heroes. We see them faced with a decision, and how hard that can be for them,” said Disney Live Entertainment Show Director Matthew Hamel in a Disney Parks Blog post today. Not only will Aladdin pop up in the new scene, but heroines Elsa, Mulan, Pocahontas, and even Moana are set to make their marks in the powerful segment.
Of course, we look forward to seeing the new show debut in just a few weeks. Planning to head to Hollywood Studios for the show? Make sure to give yourself ample time to wait for a seat in the arena or check out the special dining packages available beginning Oct. 26th.
