Gorgeous New Spaceship Earth Figurine Lights Up the 40th Anniversary at Epcot
This month saw the 40th anniversary of Epcot – the awe-inspiring park that serves as a celebration of all things culture, creation, and exploration!
The celebrations, of course, we unrivalled, with exclusive events, experiences, food items, and even a wonderful concert taking place in the World Showcase to mark the anniversary!
Of course, as is the case for all good celebrations at Walt Disney World, a huge range of commemorative merchandise was also released in honor of the occasion.
As you can imagine, the crowds went wild to get their hands on these limited-edition pieces, all of which sported that gorgeous and colorful “Epcot 40” anniversary logo!
But, even though the official anniversary date has now passed, we’re thrilled to report that we’re still spotting new commemorative items making their way into the park.
While enjoying a browse through the Creations Shop this week – the main hub of Epcot merchandise must-haves – MickeyBloggers spotted this amazing new figurine, that is surely going to be a popular piece among Epcot fans and collectors!
Let’s take a closer look…
The breath-taking figurine depicts Spaceship Earth – the iconic landmark of Epcot – stood in all its glory atop a podium bearing that “Epcot 40” logo.
Shining, shimmering, and silver – just the sight of this gorgeous structure will instantly evoke memories and inspiration within any Disney Parks fan!
Laying stylishly beneath Spaceship Earth on the figurine is Figment – that purple dragon who has become quite the face of Epcot in the past 40 years!
As you can imagine, Figment has been a prominent feature on a lot of the anniversary merchandise items, but we think he’s looking as sassy as ever on this awesome figurine!
Perhaps the coolest feature of the figurine, however, is the fact that it lights up!
Thanks to tiny projecting lights on the base of the statue, Spaceship Earth lights up in an array of gorgeous colors, just like the real-life landmark lights up the skies each night at Epcot!
The figurine comes boxed, making it nice and handy for if you’re traveling, or wanting to give the statue as a gift to a fellow Epcot-loving fan.
It costs $125, and can be found at the Creations Shop.
Whether you swing by to make a purchase, or admire it in all its glory, we definitely recommend checking this gorgeous figurine out during your next Epcot visit!
