Journey of Water Continues to Take Shape at EPCOT
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you may have heard the news that a brand new Moana-inspired attraction is coming to EPCOT in late 2023 – Journey of Water.

The attraction will allow guests to explore and engage with water as it travels from the skies to the oceans and back again.
During our visit to EPCOT today, we noticed that construction teams were hard at work creating the new structure that will house the attraction.
As you see, support beams were being put into place as we passed by this afternoon.

Once complete the attraction will use the popular film Moana as the inspiration for demonstrating the beauty of the natural water cycle.
Those that have seen the film will know that Moana has a very special bond with water and Disney is hoping that this will encourage guests to learn more about the importance of water and experience water’s playful personality just like Moana did.
Woven into Journey of Water will be lots of familiar elements from the film like the shapes of the characters being carved into the rocks and waterways throughout the experience.
