Cool and Cryptic MTFBWY Spirit Jersey Arrives in Hollywood Studios!
I hope you like acronyms, as the coolest new SW “MTFBWY” SJ just rocked up at DHS in WDW!
Did you get all that?! Let’s take a look at it!
But, please don’t worry if none of that made any sense to you – we’re here to explain.
Basically, the coolest new kid’s MTFBWY Spirit Jersey just landed over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World, and we think it’s one that only the truest of Jedis will be able to understand!
Everyone loves a good Spirit Jersey – a lightweight sweater that is comfy, casual, and a great way of showing off your Disney Parks style!
This newest MTFBWY spirit jersey joins the ranks of many Star Wars-inspired Spirit Jerseys before it, but it offers a unique look that we’re sure fans of the franchise are going to adore.
The two-tone youth jersey is split in shades of slick black and cool cream, and the front features a patch of Darth Vader affixed to the chest.
Along the hem, another patch reads “Greatest in the Galaxy” – presumably talking about the wearer of the jersey, and not the evil Darth Vader!
Flipping the MTFBWY youth Spirit Jersey over, we are greeted with a much bolder design on the back.
Most notably, the letters “MTFBWY” are spelled out in bold, multi-colored puff ink right across the shoulders!
Now, I’m going to be completely honest with you all here, and hold my hands up to say that it took me a hot minute to work out what these letters meant.
Are they days of the week on Tatooine? Is it some kind of strange Aurebesh translation gone wrong?
Then, it hit me. It may have taken me ten minutes, but we got there in the end.
As all true codebreakers and Star Wars fans will have inferred, “MTFBWY” means, of course, “May the Force Be With You!”
Beneath the code is a bold and colorful graphic of Princess Leia, stood with Chewie, C-3PO, and R2-D2.
This graphic is sort of cartoonized, but is a clearly-recognizable portrait of some of the coolest characters in the galaxy!
