Disney Guests Are Sick and Tired of Park Hopping Rules
Over the years, Disney fans have enjoyed the freedom of being able to travel between the Parks at will. With new limitations set in place post-pandemic, Disney Guests are sick and tired of Park Hopping rules!
Disney Parks Post-Pandemic
After the pandemic, the Parks implemented systems to prevent overcrowding. Disneyland and Walt Disney World set limits on daily Park Hopping.
Now that things are returning to normal, most theme parks have eliminated their limitations. Disney, on the other hand, hasn’t budged in its rules, and according to CinemaBlend, fans are getting frustrated.
Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World Guests currently have to make a reservation at the Park they plan to visit first when buying a Park Hopping ticket. Guests are required to stick to their plans and cannot change Parks until 2 p.m.
Theme Park journalist Ashely Carter recently addressed the issue in a short but to-the-point tweet. She stated, “Disney, please get rid of the 2 p.m. Park Hopping rule.”
Her statement elicited quite a response, with many fans expressing agreement. Disneyland’s Park Hopping rules are slightly less severe than Walt Disney World’s.
Disney, please get rid of the 2 p.m. park hopping rule.

Disneyland
Disneyland Guests can Park Hop at 1 p.m. and are not required to go to their reserved Park first if they arrive after that time. Walt Disney World visitors are often pleasantly surprised at the orientation of Disneyland Resort.
Park Hopping is made more accessible because the Parks are only a few steps away from each other. No mode of transportation is needed to Park Hop at Disneyland, which saves Guests a lot of time!
Universal Orlando Resort has two parks but does not limit Guests from traveling between them. With rules on how they can spend their day becoming more prevalent at Disney Parks, Guests are frustrated with the system.
Gone are the days when Passholders could stroll into a Disney Resort on a whim. While the system benefits Disney, helping spread crowds out throughout the Parks and making it easier on Cast Members, the benefits for Guests are slim to none.
Fans can only hope that Disney will consider their concerns and loosen up its policies. Until then, Disney Guests will remain sick and tired of Park Hopping rules!
Disneyland was spectacular in 2019 and then covid hit and the company took advantage of the situation! Raise prices. Cut hours, no fast pass free, park is not clean like it was. Walt would be outraged!
I hear you. I think a lot of people feel that way.
