‘Andor’ Episode 5 REVIEW
Lucasfilm’s newest series continues with an entry that promises an explosive next installment; this is our Andor Episode 5 REVIEW.
When the Star Wars universe first began, it was built on the idea of the rebellious answer to societal oppression.
But more than that; the individual place in that vast story and the parts that one plays in that conflict.
Andor is the latest addition to that massive epic, the depiction of a centuries-old war that perfectly embodies that reality.
In its most brilliant moments, Andor is the microcosm of what Star Wars was always meant to represent.
A band of people joining together- despite their intentions or reasonings- to raise a hand against the oppressor.
And it is in that mission that the series isnt just another successful installment to that story, but brilliant exploration of it.
Andor Episode 5 continues the journey of its title character, one being thrust into a conflict between a newfound rebellion and the empire.
And this episode presents the next step in the birth of that rebellion while establishing the tremendous weight of their choices.
It is one of the greatest qualities of the series so far; to establish how much these individuals are sacrificing.
And more importantly, how much more they will sacrifice.
The performances are brilliant, and the mark of their talent is just how little the plot unfolds in episode 5.
Andor isnt a series that solely revolves around what thing happens next; like the best stories ever told, it revolves around characters.
There is an anxiousness surrounding nearly every aspect of this episode, and it only enhances the experience.
The heist has yet to begin, but there is still an unnerving tension that is built into this very mission.
It is that tension that has built some of the best first five episodes in Lucasfilm’s work on Disney+.
There is no understating just how great this story has been, and just how explosive things are bound to it now.
