FIRST LOOK: Topsy-Turvy Cake Is Gooey Goodness
There’s no tricks at Walt Disney World this October… just treats, treats, treats!
To celebrate the new month, our MickeyBlog reporters have been enjoying trips to Walt Disney World to hunt down all the Halloween treats that have newly cropped up around the resort.
It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it!
Earlier today, we were over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where we showed you unique themed desserts, such as the Pumpkin Lunch Box Tart, the Halloween Candy Cookie Pizza, and this awesome Candy Corn Milkshake.
Right now, however, we’re over at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, where this terrifyingly tasty new dessert has crept on the menu. Are you intrigued?
This here is the Topsy-Turvy Chocolate and Cherries cake – named, of course, in homage to Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
And, just look at that ooey-gooey, chocolatey goodness!
This cake is a classic chocolate sponge, filled with both salted caramel mousse and a cherry filling.
It’s color scheme of purple, black, and orange make for great Halloween-y photo opportunities, with that red jelly oozing out looking devilishly delicious indeed!
There’s a lot of flavor going on here, between the sweet of the chocolate, the salt of the caramel, and the tartness of the jelly.
But, this just makes the dessert all the more enticing, with something in there for anyone to adore!
This unique dessert is only set to be served for the remainder of the Halloween season, so make sure you head to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort quickly so as not to miss out!
The cake is served at both the Centertown Market and Spyglass Grill quick service locations at the resort.
Plus, with this dreamy, palm-studded, waterfront view over the Disney Skyliner right in front of you, we think this is a perfect afternoon spot to enjoy such a tasty treat!
Enjoy!
