Disney Releases Official Statement on Hurricane Ian’s Impact on Community
Disney took to Twitter this morning, in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, which swept through Central Florida overnight, to share a message of community and togetherness.

The tweet reads, “We’re thinking of our neighbors across Florida. We will get through this together and we will be there to help our cast members and community. As we keep safety in mind, our theme parks and other operating areas remain closed today while crews assess the impact of the storm and remove debris. Thank you to all of our cast members who continue to care for our thousands of guests currently staying at our Disney Resort hotels.”
In addition, Disney World also published a list of services that will remain closed today. You can check out the complete list here. As of going to print, it looks like Disney World anticipates being able to gradually reopen tomorrow. However. this is a story that we will continue to follow closely.
