UPDATE: Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser Closes Due to Ian
Good morning MickeyBlog friends! There is a lot of news coming fast due to the upcoming tropical storm/hurricane.
Here is the most recent update: Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser Closes Due to Ian.

From the Walt Disney World website, “Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is a revolutionary new 2-night experience where you are the hero. You and your group will embark on a first-of-its-kind Star Wars adventure that’s your own. It’s the most immersive Star Wars story ever created—one where you live a bespoke experience and journey further into a Star Wars adventure than you ever dreamed possible.”
We have confirmed that the interactive resort experience will be closed through September 30th due to Hurricane Ian.

This is one of many closures for the Walt Disney World Resort and comes as the Central Florida area braces for the Category 3 Hurricane.
Operational Info
According to the Walt Disney World Website:
“Walt Disney World Resort is currently operating under normal conditions as we prepare to make necessary adjustments based on the latest information from the National Weather Service.
We continue to put the safety of our Cast Members and Guests first and will share updates with you as we monitor Hurricane Ian.”
Resort Closures

According to the Walt Disney World website, the Resort Closures include the following:
“Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will temporarily close Wednesday, Sept. 28 through Friday, Sept. 30 due to the weather. We are contacting Guests with current and upcoming reservations.”
Theme Parks and Water Parks Closure

Walt Disney World theme parks are currently operating though the resort is monitoring the weather conditions.
However, the following are closed through September 29th:
- Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon
- Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf
Special Event Closures

The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue has canceled performances from Sept. 28-30. Guests with pre-paid reservations will be automatically canceled and refunded.
If there are any further updates regarding this experience, we will certainly bring them to you. But for now, the Galactic Starcruiser will be closed due to Ian.
