Tropical Storm Watch In Effect For the Orlando Area
Hurricane Ian is now a category 1 storm and churning towards Florida. The tracks are still back and forth but are currently trending more east.
Orlando is not in the direct path of the storm but will no doubt get effects starting tomorrow and into Wednesday and Thursday.
The counties in and around Orlando are currently under a Tropical Storm Watch meaning residents in those counties can start feeling some effects of the storm at any time.
The storm is expected to strengthen to a category 4 but weaken to a category 2 before it makes landfall somewhere in Florida.
So far, Disney has not made any announcements in regard to temporary closures or anything of the sort. We will continue to monitor the storm as the hours go on.
