BREAKING: Disney Drops First Trailer for Upcoming Film Strange World
We’ve got an exciting new trailer to share with you on this Wednesday morning! Disney is giving us a first look at their upcoming animated film Strange World!
For those unfamiliar, Strange World follows Searcher Clade (Jake Gyllenhaal), the son of a legendary explorer who has left earth for a journey through space. Searcher and his crew including his son Ethan (Jaboukie Young-White) arrive on an usual planet where Searcher is reunited with his father Jaeger (Dennis Quaid.) The three generations must overcome their differences and work together to successfully complete their quest and return to earth.

According to a recent piece in CBR.com, the film was inspired by classic pulp sci-fi stories. The project is directed by Don Hall who also directed both Big-Hero 6a and Raya and the Last Dragon. The movie is co-directed and written by Qui Nguyen. It is produced by Roy Conli.

Other cast members involved in the project includes Gabrielle Union as Meridian Clade, an accomplished pilot and Searcher’s partner in all things; and Lucy Liu as Callisto Mal, Avalonia’s fearless leader who spearheads the exploration into the strange world. “
