Jodi Benson Voices Support For Halle Bailey In the New ‘The Little Mermaid’ After Dislikes On YouTube
The trailer for the live-action The Little Mermaid dropped last week and some people on the internet have shown their dislike for it, about 2 million dislikes on YouTube to be precise.
YouTube has started hiding the number of dislikes a video gets, but a plug-in revealed just exactly how many dislikes the trailer got.

Actress Jodi Benson, the voice of the original Litle Mermaid has voiced her support for the new Ariel actress, Halle Bailey. Benson shared on her Instagram story, writing: “So thrilled! So excited! Halle, you were absolutely amazing!”
Benson continued: “I’m SO proud of you and your beautiful performance as Ariel. It was so wonderful to share with your family here at D23 Expo.” She added: “And to the brilliant director Rob Marshall…I’m so thankful for our friendship of over 35 years. Thank you for creating such a stunning film!!!”

Even though there has been a lot of negative backlash, there have been so many uplifting videos. Moms were sharing videos of their little girls seeing the new Little Mermaid for the first time. The videos will for sure make you tear up.
