Cast of ‘Avatar’ premieres 3D First Look of Sequel for D23
‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ was the last presentation during the Lucasfilm panel at D23 on Saturday. The cast of the film gave the audience a 3D sneak peek of what’s to come.
Director James Cameron appeared virtually while cast Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang and producer Jon Landau took to the stage.
Together they introduced exclusive clips to the audience that were not released online. Guests in the crowd were handed 3D glasses to enhance the viewing of the new footage.
Strangely though, Cameron and the cast did not give any details about the exclusive clips.
There was no explanation on who the new characters are and what each clip meant for the story.
The big picture of the story still remains a mystery. Which can be frustrating for Avatar fans who have been waiting a very long time for this sequel to be released.
We do know that this film will be groundbreaking in underwater film work, and knowing director James Cameron, we are all in for an epic adventure.
Thankfully, Avatar: The Way of Water is just around the corner with a theatrical release on December 16th.
You can also catch the original Avatar back on the big screen starting September 23rd.
