BREAKING NEWS: Happily Ever After Will Return to the Magic Kingdom in 2023
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that today is the hotly anticipated Disney Theme Parks panel hosted by Chairperson of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Josh D’Amaro. The event is currently underway and our first AWESOME bit of news has just been revealed! Starting off the showcase was a performance from Jordan Fisher & Angie Keilhauer of the title song from the fireworks display Happily Ever After!
It wasn’t long after that D’Amaro took to the stage to announce that Happily Ever After will once again delighting guests in front of Cinderella Castle when it returns in 2023!!
For those unfamiliar, Happily Ever After was the fireworks show that was running before the pandemic and before Disney’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. The 18 minute show has it all. There’s lasers, lights, projections and so much more. It is so much more than an evening fireworks display. You’ll be completely immersed in incredible vignettes featuring songs and characters from classics like The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Moan, Big Hero Six, The Princess and the Frog and more!
We are so excited to hear the news! Happily Ever After has a special place in the hearts of Disney fans of all ages. We had a sneaking suspicion it might be returning as Jordan Fisher took to Twitter earlier this year to tease us with the a clip of the song.

As you can see, Disney responded today with the short tweet “It’s time!”
Though Disney has yet to announce an official opening date for the return of Happily Ever After, we speculate that it might be hot on the heels of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration in April of 2023.
